Born and raised in Mt. Olive Mississippi, Jason Cooper began singing in the church choir at just four years old. Being the eldest son, and the oldest of two brothers and two sisters, he was the first in his family to attend college.
Earning a full scholarship from Alcon State University, it was then he realized his true passion was music. His music studies further developed his unique style, inspired by his gospel roots. Early in his career, he won the Apollo Theater talent search.
Jason has toured the world, performing with such artists as Ice-T, Coolio, Easy-E and R&B sensations including Men at Large, Vertical Hold, Guess, and Cheryl Pepsii Riley to sold out crowds. He has appeared at venues including the Los Angeles Bonaventure,The Celebrity Theater, the Jockey Club, The Roxy, Universal Studios Japan, and many more. Jason has worked with world renowned producers includng Chuck Simone, Greg Charley and Herman Little III. His unique musical style is what sets him apart.
